Horizon Press Company was founded and established in 1997 by Michael J. Davis and Lisa A. Young. Horizon Press Company is a Freelance Photojournalism company, based in the Philadelphia area of the United States, covering concerts, sporting events, press conferences and cultural events on the East Coast of the United States, from New York to Washington D.C.

Horizon Press Company specializes in photography, reviews and interviews from concerts and events, for use by media companies, newspapers, magazines and websites, in addition to Horizon Press Company’s use of all content.

Recently, Horizon Press Company has covered Live 8 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Freedom Concert and Gala Ball with Sir Elton John, The Who, The Pretenders, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, Nickelback, Velvet Revolver, Madonna, Green Day, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews Band, Rockstar INXS, Rockstar Supernova, Garbage, Heart, Alice In Chains, The Hooters, Farm Aid 2006, Seether, Shinedown, Flyleaf, Snow Patrol, Heaven & Hell, Megadeth, Hinder, Black Stone Cherry, Live, Collective Soul, Breaking Benjamin, Finger Eleven, Evanescence, Buckcherry, Chris Cornell, Korn, Incubus, Stone Sour, Muse, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach, Saliva, Puddle Of Mudd, Foo Fighters and many more!!!

Over the last decade, Horizon Press Company founders, Michael J. Davis and Lisa A. Young, have covered hundreds of concerts, as well as many sporting events and dozens of cultural events like the Philadelphia Flower Show (the largest flower show in the world!), attending many After Show Parties, VIP events and press junkets.

Biographies:

Michael J. Davis

Mr. Michael J. Davis is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with an Associate Degree in Arts & Sciences and a Bachelor of Science degree, with a minor in Photojournalism. Michael graduated 2nd in his class, with "Highest Distinction" and was on Dean's List throughout his years in college. Michael has been inducted into 2 national honor societies, has been granted scholarships and was named as "Campus Scholar".

Michael Davis is a registered photojournalist with the National Press Association in Washington D.C. and has valid press credentials with picture ID.

Michael played at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia from 1988-1991 with the All-Philadelphia Symphony under conductors Dominick Minni and Joseph Simon. While performing with the Symphony, Michael played the cello and bassoon. Michael plays over a dozen instruments and has played guitar for many bands.

Mr. Davis is currently working on a comprehensive book about "Rock & Roll Culture", with Lisa A. Young, of which he is co-author and co-photographer. This book will span 25 years of "Rock and Roll", from 1985 - 2010.

 
Lisa A. Young

Ms. Lisa A. Young attended Bucks County Community College as a Communications major with a minor in Photojournalism. Lisa also attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia as a Business Management major taking courses in audio engineering, video, lighting and photography. Lisa then moved on to work as Assistant Audio Engineer at Goldfinger Recording Studios in Doylestown, PA.

Lisa Young is a registered photojournalist with the National Press Association in Washington D.C. and had valid press credentials with picture ID.

In addition to pursuing her freelance photojournalism career, Lisa Young has worked for a financial investment company for the last 13 years and holds both a Series 63 License and Series 11 License, both certified by the NASD.

Lisa has been interested in photojournalism all of her life and has been taking photographs since she was 5 years old. In addition to events, Lisa has taken hundreds of landscape photographs.

Ms. Young is currently working on a comprehensive book about "Rock & Roll Culture", with Michael J. Davis, of which she is co-author and co-photographer. This book will span 25 years of "Rock and Roll", from 1985 - 2010.

The photograph on the homepage was taken by Lisa, at sunrise in Cancun, Mexico, using a Nikon D70 digital camera with a 28-300mm lens.
